7. Holiday use it or lose it!
The Organisation of Working Time Act 1997 sets out the rules regarding holidays. The statutory leave year is April to March, however, many organisations have a January to December rule for administration purposes. The Organisation of Working Time Act notes that employees have up to 6 months in the following year to take their annual leave were it has been prohibitive for them to take it in that current year.
